Cheshire Views at Malkins Bank Golf Course

Welcome to Malkins Bank Golf Course, a proud Hawtree-designed course that combines traditional golf course architecture with a welcoming and enjoyable playing experience for all.

Set within picturesque surroundings, our course reflects the classic design principles associated with the renowned Hawtree family, offering thoughtfully shaped fairways, strategic bunkering, and natural features that create both challenge and playability. Whether you are new to the game or an experienced golfer, the layout provides a rewarding round that can be enjoyed time and time again.

Under new ownership, we are excited to be entering the next chapter of Malkins Bank Golf Course. Our focus is on enhancing the course, investing in its future, and ensuring every visitor enjoys a high-quality experience both on and off the fairways. While we introduce improvements, we remain committed to preserving the character and charm that make Malkins Bank so special.

How to become a member with us

2026 Course Memberships are now open for sign up with the offer of a 7-day Membership or a 5-day Membership, as well as a Student or Junior Membership now on offer

New Members have a £150 joining fee (excluding student and junior memberships)

Memberships can be signed up to through the website link or by attending the course and coming down to The Halfway House and speaking to the team.

Course Etiquette

Golf Course Etiquette & Player Expectations

To ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for all guests, we kindly ask that players observe the following course etiquette standards:

Pace of Play

  • Maintain your position with the group ahead at all times.

  • Be prepared to play when it is your turn and limit practice swings.

  • Allow faster groups to play through when appropriate.

  • Observe posted pace-of-play guidelines and staff instructions.

Care of the Course

  • Repair all ball marks on greens and smooth bunkers after use.

  • Replace or properly fill divots on tees and fairways.

  • Avoid unnecessary damage to the course, including carts in restricted areas.

  • Dispose of trash in designated receptacles.

Golf Cart Usage

  • Follow all posted cart rules and directional signage.

  • Keep carts at a safe distance from greens, tees, and hazards.

  • Observe cart path-only and weather-related restrictions at all times.

  • Operate carts responsibly and with consideration for others.

Safety & Courtesy

  • Always ensure the group ahead is out of range before playing a shot.

  • Yell “Fore” immediately if a ball may endanger others.

  • Remain aware of fellow players and course staff at all times.

  • Mobile devices should be used discreetly and on silent mode.

Dress Code

  • Proper golf attire is required at all times.
    i.e Collared polo shirts/recognised golf shirts, trousers, tailored golf shorts, skorts or golf skirts, knee-length shorts or tailored golf wear, Golf specific shoes (soft spikes or spike-less)

  • Shirts must be worn, and appropriate golf footwear is expected.

  • Denim, athletic shorts, and other non-golf attire may be restricted (refer to club guidelines).

The Club reserves the right to determine whether attire is appropriate for the course. Players who do not meet the guidance may be asked to change before accessing the course. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be issued where access is refused due to unsuitable attire.

Conduct

  • Respect fellow players, staff, and the property at all times.

  • Excessive noise, disruptive behavior, or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.

  • Consumption of alcohol must comply with club policies and local regulations.

We appreciate your cooperation in upholding these standards and helping maintain the quality, tradition, and enjoyment of our course for all players

  • At the heart of the club is Bar918, the clubhouse bar and restaurant with stunning views over the 18th hole. Refresh, relax, and socialise in a welcoming space that’s perfect for golfers and visitors alike:

    • A full bar and restaurant serving quality food and drinks with a warm, friendly atmosphere.

    • Indoor and outdoor seating — ideal for watching golf, catching up with friends, or winding down after your round.

    • A family-oriented space with play areas for children and special events that make it enjoyable for everyone.

  • We can now confirm that we are able to set up monthly payments for members who would like to pay this way.

    These payments are set up to be made in the Halfway House and are set up as payments over 7 months.
